Odd Jobs Good For Teens

If your child is old enough to do odd jobs and errands outside of the home, help them find local opportunities that can provide them with additional income while teaching them responsibility at the same time!

Around the age of 15 most communities allow minors to apply for their first job. Grocery stores and fast food outlets offer great first jobs for teens.

But if your child isn't ready for the work force, there's always plenty of ways kids can make money around the neighborhood, such as babysitting, washing cars, lawn care and walking dogs.

Allowing your child to perform odd jobs for pay will help build self-esteem while teaching some very valuable lessons about earning money and the value of hard work Plus, it is a helpful contribution for school supplies in the Fall.
